I want to acknowledge that the land I live and love on is the land of the Hatiwendaronk, Haudenosaunee, Anishinaabe and Mississauga's of the Credit First Nations. This to me means that I have an obligation to hear, honour and advocate for Indigenous rights and their voices. Understanding my role as a treaty settler means that I carry myself with the goal of community, collaboration and reconciliation of Indigenous practices and teachings.
